Nothing bad happened but this site is just dead at this point! Which makes me sad, because I've had some very dedicated followers here and made some friends as well but I've moved on to other platforms, and posting on deviantART just became a chore, even though it comes with its good perks (the sweet comments you leave under my drawings etc.)
That being said, given the lack of commissions coming from deviantART (because let's face it, money is necessary!) compared to other sites, I decided it's better this way.

I will still use deviantART to look things up, so if you send me a note, I'll still reply, but as far as posting/replying to comments goes, I don't think I'll be checking the notifications often, just a heads up.

I will not delete this account, I just won't be posting anymore (and for that, who knows! I might change my mind in the future and just come back in a few weeks). If I happen to have big projects coming up, I'll probably make a journal on here as well!

ALSO!! I do happen to have 2,000 points lying around here so I'll either do a giveaway or ask for a few commissions to artists I like! I could transfer them to my paypal account but it's a very tiring process that I already did once and it's really not worth it. So?? We'll see about that in the near future!

or more specifically, people who submit a file of a transparent canvas (or alternatively, a picture that says "click on the folders to browse my gallery") vs people who have most of their pieces visible in their featured gallery.

Personally I prefer everything (or most of it) to be visible as soon as someone clicks on my gallery, and I like to keep the gallery widget on my deviantart page as well, even if it means my profile won't look as minimal as I'd like it to be. In the past though (especially when this was an ask account) I used to only have two or three drawings visible in the gallery, while the rest was in the folders.

However, since I try to check every new watcher's gallery when I clean the inbox, it gets very frustrating to click twice on every profile that doesn't have the "Newest Deviations" widget on (once to go to their gallery, and once again to click "All" in case they have everything in folders), and if I haven't cleaned my inbox in a few weeks and just wanna do it fast, I will only look at profiles and not even go in the galleries, and that's the main reason why I decided to keep my art on my profile, knowing that there have to be people like me that could find it troublesome on certain days.

But!! I really like many profiles I've seen around, and while I don't intend to switch to this minimalistic approach anytime soon, I just want to clarify that this post isn't to bash people who prefer to keep their profiles clean, I'm just extremely curious to know what you guys think (hoping I explained myself well enough) about this topic!
